tations given to our meetings. A permanent record is kept on file and periodical visits are made to the homes. Also classes in Jewish evan gelism are given to the students. 4) Another very effective means of evangelism is our Hollywood Street Team which ministers the Gospel each Saturday evening in “ fun-seek ing Hollywood.” This is another stu dent project. About 25 students along with Rev. Allensworth sing, testify, preach, do personal work and give out the Gospel tracts to Jews and Gentiles. The Lord has blessed this ministry and souls have been saved. 5) Still another means of minister ing to the Jewish people is through my tract, “A Jew and the Name of Messiah” which I referred to. It is used in all of our visitation ministry. The Allensworths make daily calls in ■Jewish homes, hospitals, rest homes, etc. People write us from all over the United States requesting help on how to reach their Jewish friends for Christ, and asking for literature, Bibles, New Testaments, etc. What a blessed joy to be co-laborers with all who seek to win precious Jewish souls for Christ! Pray for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Because of the great love I hold for the Jews, and because I understand so well the unrest and anxiety in their hearts today, I am praying that as this testimony goes forth in published form, some of them may see it and come to know the peace of mind and heart that I have found. I am no less a Jew than I was 57 years ago, but now am a Jew who has come into his own, by gaining a full knowledge of his inheritance. The Messiah! How our people have longed for Him all through the centuries of persecution and world wanderings. How I would proclaim to each one of them: “Hear me, my Jewish brethren, I have found peace, order, and serenity of mind, heart and life. Would you like to have these, too? You, too, can reach out and accept your portion, if you w ill but read, and pray to Ruach Elohim ( the H oly Spirit) to open your eyes to see the truth.” “He was wounded for our transgres sions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, And with His stripes, we are healed” Isaiah 53. EDITOR'S NOTE: Copies of Mr. Rose's testimony tract are available upon request. If you wish them sent to your Jewish friends, the Depart ment will be happy to do this, as you supply them with names and addresses. END.

A JEW F IN D S TH E M E S S IA H - ( Continued from Page 23 ) Christ. This was a great loss to me personally and to the Jewish Depart ment’s ministry, especially because of my age. Nevertheless our many f r i e n d s o f th e Jewish Department joined us in prayer that the Lord would send us just the ones of His choice to assume the duties left vacant by Mr. Sanders, and He did. Rev. and Mrs. Norman Allensworth, graduates of the Bible Institute and former mis sionaries to Thailand, took over this responsibility May 15, 1957. Since then, there has been a steady progres sive growth in the Jewish Depart ment’s program of Jewish evangelism. Among the activities of the depart ment to evangelize the ever-expand ing Jewish population (estimated at f/o million) there are: 1) Our Sunday afternoon Testi mony to Israel held each Lord’s Day at 4 P.M. There we have unsaved Jewish and Gentile listen to a pro gram designed to attract Jewish peo ple and present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way the Jews understand. Testimonies by Jewish-Christians are given. News or views of Israel are set forth. 2) Another great step forward in our Jewish evangelism program has been the Jewish-Gentile Christian Bible Fellowships. At present we have two such meetings. They are held each first Friday of the month at the home of our Superintendent and wife in Los Angeles and each third Friday of the month at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Yeider in Van Nuys. At these meetings there is the warm atmosphere of Christian love and in terest which the Jewish people really enjoy. The program consists of mov ing pictures of Israel or special music; Bible study from the Old and New Testaments and a challenge to trust Christ as their Messiah and Saviour. This is followed by a well-organized time of questions and answers and personal testimonies. The evening is concluded with refreshments which affords an excellent opportunity to do personal work. Many decisions have been made at these fellowship meet ings. 3) Another very effective avenue of reaching Jewish people for Christ is in our house to house evangelism pro gram. In this ministry we have the assistance of several students of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. This work is done in a Very systematic way which enables us to know the name of each person we visit, the tracts that have been given, New Testaments, whether they are interested, and invi- M A R C H , 1 9 5 9
