3.3 PARCELS AND BUILDINGS Table 3.5 provides a count of the undeveloped and developed parcels in Wake County by jurisdiction. 3.4 HISTORIC PROPERTIES As of May 2024, Wake County had 227 listings in the National Register of Historic Places, detailed in Table 3.6. This list includes 65 Historic Districts. Listing on the National Register signifies that these structures, sites, and districts have been determined to be worthy of preservation for their historical or cultural values. In addition to these properties, there are four National Historic Landmarks in Wake County; all four are located in the City of Raleigh.
