The tool identifies ‘disadvantaged’ census tracks by percentile for each challenge/burden and is ideal to consider different aspects of vulnerability. Explore the map - Climate & Economic Justice Screening Tool (geoplatform.gov) • Resilience and Analysis Planning Tool (RAPT): RAPT includes over 100 preloaded layers including community resilience indicators from peer-reviewed research, the most current census demographic data, infrastructure data, and data on weather, hazards, and risk. RAPT also includes easy to use analysis tools, the ability to add in data from other sources (such as the USA structure footprint layer), and print and download functions. Data can bolster local GIS use or serve as a basic mapping/analysis system for communities without a GIS subscription. https://www.fema.gov/about/reports-and-data/resilience-analysis-planning-tool • FEMA Strategic Plan Update 2022-2026 (Goal 1, Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management) Read more about the first goal from the updated FEMA Strategic Plan, focusing on equity across all elements of FEMA. https://www.fema.gov/about/strategic-plan/goal-1 • FEMA National Risk Index (Updated in Spring 2023): A baseline relative risk measurement for each United States county and Census tract. Online tools help illustrate the communities most at risk for 18 natural hazards. https://hazards.fema.gov/nri/ • NOAA’s Digital Coast: Risk communication tools, hazard data and products, plus training that address coastal issues.
