متكاملــــــة، تتآلــــــف فيها العمارة والطبيعة لترويا، فــــــي كل تفصيل، حكاية الاحترام العميق الذي يكنّه الإنسان لهذا الرفيق الأصيل. ويتوســــــط هذا الصرح ميدان داخلي مكيّف يتســــــع لألف ومئتي متفرج، ليشــــــكّل القلب النابض للأكاديمية. وعلى أرضه، يشهد الزوار عروضًا أسبوعية تحمل عنوان “الفروســــــية: عودة إلى الجذور”، حيث تمضي الخيول وفرسانها في لوحات آسرة من الدقة والانضباط، تحت إضاءة مســــــرحية أخّاذة، وعلى أنغام تســــــتحضر عبق التاريخ، فيما تكتمل الصورة بأزياء احتفالية تستلهم الموروث العربي. وخلف الكواليس، تحظى الخيول بعناية رفيعة المســــــتوى، إذ صُممت الإسطبلات وفــــــق أنظمــــــة تبريد طبيعية، وأُلحقت بها عيادة بيطرية متخصصة يشــــــرف عليها نخبة من خبراء طب الخيل. أما غرفة الســــــروج، فهي تحفة فنية قائمة بذاتها، تتزيّن جدرانها وأســــــقفها برسوم يدوية بديعة لجياد شامخة وسحب مترامية. وتضم هذه القاعة مجموعة نفيسة من الســــــروج، والركائب، واللُّجم، والأطقم الاحتفالية الفاخرة، حيث تُعد كل قطعة جلدية وتُصقل كل قطعة فضية بعناية فائقة، اســــــتعدادًا للحظة التي يلتقي فيها

Nearby, the Furusiyya Gallery offers a curated exhibition of 173 ar- tifacts spanning two millennia of equestrian heritage across the Arab World and beyond. Ancient weapons, saddles, ceremonial equipment, paintings, and historical objects trace the evolution of the horse’s role across civilisations - as a companion in war, a symbol of prestige, a partner in exploration, and, essentially, an artistic collaborator. REVIVING THE LOST CRAFTS OF THE HORSE Some of the most valuable heritage preserved at ADREA is found inside its Atelier, where skilled artisans practise one of equestri- an culture’s oldest crafts: saddle-making. For hundreds of years, saddlers combined technical mastery with skilled workmanship, producing equipment that balanced com- fort, functionality, and beauty. Yet like many traditional crafts, bespoke saddle-making has steadily declined as industrial man- ufacturing replaced handmade production. The institution hopes to reverse that trend. Its workshop not only produces saddlery for the academy’s equines but also trains a new generation of craftspeople through leather-working workshops and educational programmes. غير أن رســــــالة “أبوظبي للفنون الفروســــــية الأميرية” لا تقف عند حدود العروض المبهرة وما يصاحبها من تصفيق وإبهار بصري، بل تمتد إلى صون الإرث الحضاري الذي نسجته الفروسية عبر القرون. فالأدب، والحِرَف، والفنون، والمعرفة، جميعها

مدرسة تنبض بروح الفروسية فــــــي قلــــــب هذا الصرح الجديــــــد، يعيش أربعون حصانًا أبيض من أنقى الســــــلالات الإســــــبانية الأصيلة، في مشــــــهد يستوقف الأبصار. وتبدأ هذه الخيول حياتها بلون رمــــــادي قاتم، قبل أن تكتســــــي، مع اكتمال نضجهــــــا، حُلّة بيضاء ناصعة، وكأن هذا التحــــــوّل يجسّــــــد الرحلة الطويلة من الصبر والتهذيــــــب التي تخوضها قبل أن تطأ ســــــاحة العــــــرض. وإلى جانب هذه الجياد، التي اشــــــتهرت بقدرتهــــــا الفطرية على التوازن، ورشاقة أدائها، وهدوء طباعها، تضم الأكاديمية نخبة مختارة من خيول اللوسيتانو البرتغالية، والخيول الإسبانية العربية، وخيول لوسو كوارتر. ولئــــــن كان مشــــــهد هذه الجياد وهــــــي تؤدي أعقد الحركات فــــــي تناغم يبعث على الدهشة، فإن ما يأسر القلوب حقًا هو ذلك القدر الهائل من التروي الكامن وراء كل حركة. فلا يكاد الفارس يحرّك يدًا، أو يومئ إيماءة تكاد لا تُرى، حتى يســــــتجيب الجــــــواد، في لغة خفيّة لا تقوم على القســــــر، بل تنســــــجها أعــــــوام من الثقة والصبر والتآلــــــف. ولأن الفحول تمتاز بقوة فائقة واســــــتجابة مرهفة، فإن التعامل معها لا يقوم على الســــــيطرة، بل على شــــــراكة متبادلة، تُقدَّم فيها مصلحة الجواد على كل اعتبار، وتوضع سلامته، وكرامته، وراحته النفسية في المقام الأول. وعند اكتمال هــــــذه العلاقــــــة، يغدو الأداء حوارًا صامتًا بين روحين، يتحرك فيه الفارس وجواده كأنهما كائن واحد، فتولد البراعة ثمرة طبيعية لهذا الانسجام. وهــــــذه الفلســــــفة، التي تضع الجــــــواد في صدارة الاهتمــــــام، لا تقتصر على ميادين التدريــــــب والعروض، بل تنعكس في كل ركن مــــــن أركان الأكاديمية، الممتدة على متر مربع، والواقعة داخل محمية طبيعية رحبة تبلغ مســــــاحتها 18,000 مســــــاحة متر مربع في جزيرة الجبيل بأبوظبي. وهنا، تغدو الأكاديمية وجهة ثقافية 65,000
Behind the scenes, the physical and psychological welfare of the horses remains paramount, supported by purpose-built sta- bles utilising passive cooling and a veterinary clinic staffed by equine specialists. Within the stables, the tack room is a masterpiece in its own right, adorned with spectacular, hand-painted motifs of stallions and clouds sweeping across the walls and ceilings. This stunning pace showcases a collection of exquisite riding equipment - from intricate stirrups and bridles to majestic gala outfits - celebrating the living artistry of horsemanship. ing horse and rider for the performance arena. PRESERVING AN EQUESTRIAN CIVILISATION
Beyond the applause and choreography, ADREA is devoted to carrying forward the many traditions that have long surrounded the horse. Literature, craftsmanship, art and education all find a home here, transforming the institution from a riding academy into an experiential museum of equestrian culture. One of its most remarkable spaces is the Equestrian Library, among the largest specialised collections of its kind in the region. Housing over 14,000 volumes - the library spans veterinary medi- cine, breeding, military history, classical riding techniques, and children’s literature.
