No season for

carelessness

newsroom@eap.on.ca

F INCH

While water levels in the South Nation

River watershed have stabilized, this is no

time to be careless around waterways.

South Nation Conservation (SNC) has

ended its Watershed Conditions Bulletin that

was originally issued March 14. Water levels

throughout the basin have returned to

normal for this time of year and are expected

to stay within normal conditions over the

next few days.

SNC continues to caution residents along

watercourses to be aware of hazards

associated with cold fast flowing water and

dam operations. Parents are encouraged to

explain these dangers to their children.

SNC staff will continue to closely monitor

the water levels and weather forecasts as

part of the Flood Forecasting and Warning

program and will provide updates in the

event conditions change.

Autos Ltd.

SNC encourages the public to visit the

watershed conditions webpage at http://

watershedconditions.com and to also

provide feedback with respect to changes in

water related conditions in their local areas

(i.e. high water elevations, road inundation,

ice jams, etc.). All feedback can be sent to

waterwatch@nation.on.ca. For additional

information, contact SNC at 1-877-984-2948.
