Le Ripper dans l’arène à Rockland

Assaut contre le cancer chez Hawkesbury Ford, Greg Carpenter avait démontré son savoir-faire, lui qui est une ceinture noire en karaté S r du jiu jitsu brésilien. Il avait alors participé à un match d’exhibition face à l’entraîneur du Fight Club de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Chris Deschatelets. Lors de cematch, le but était de faire découvrir aux amateurs les difficultés et la stratégie du combat debout et au sol, des prises de soumission et de l’immobilisation. Un tel combat demande une grande capacité cardiorespiratoire et les combattants d’arts
martiaux mixtes s’adonnent à plusieurs disciplines et techniques d’entraînement et de garde pour être fin prêts dans l’arène. Greg Carpenter est reconnu pour son travail acharné et son attitude de gagnant. Le 27 novembre, il tentera de pousser Sami Tukan à l’abandon avec un éventail de prise pour la soumission et la mise à terre. Avec un Ripper en grande forme, les amateurs peuvent s’attendre à tout un combat qui sera de la vraie lutte de soumission scientifique et technique.
