glory and honor and power unto the Lord our G o d " (Bev. 19:1). Prayer, 4-7. " T h is poor man c r i e d ." David was one of thousands that have cried and not in vain. He sought, and God heard. He was in danger, God de- livered. His cry added wings to his prayer. The righteous cry and the Lord heareth (verse 17). " M y voice shalt thou hear in the mo r n i n g" (Psa. 5:3). " A t noon will I pray and cry aloud'' (Psa. 55:17). " I have cried day and n i g h t " (Psa. 88:1). " O u t of the depths have I c r i e d" (Psa. 130:1). " M y cry came before H i m " (Psa. 18:6). God's guardian angels are round about, to succor and defend, to keep and preserve his saints. Precept, 8-14. Taste and see. Faith is the tongue of the soul to taste the sweetness of God's grace and goodness. You can only know by testing (1 Pet. 2:2, 3. John says, " T h a t whicn we have heard and seen and handled de- clare we unto y o u " (1 Jno. 1:1-3). He will satisfy your soul as with marrow and fatness (Psa. 63:5). Fear the Lord. There is no thougnt of dread here, but that of a holy rev- erence and love. He loves you. He will provide for you (Bom. 8:32, 1* Cor. 3:22, 23, Phil 4:19). ' Tongue and Lips. Put a guard upon them (Psa. 39:1, 1 Jas. 1:19-26, 3:2-5 10). Depart from Evil. Get away as fast and as f ar as you can (Isa. 1:16, 17). Do all the good you can (Acts 10:38). them all in detail. His eyes are open and He sees (.r'sa. 33:18). He hears (Ex. 3:7). He is nigh (Psa. 145:18). When we need Him most then He is the most blessed (Jer. 30:17, Bev. 22:2). In Him there is peace; keep close (Jno. 16:33). He redeems His own. He has paid a great price to ransom us from sin. He will give complete victory over Satan and the world (1 Jno. 5:4). '

Eight Princely Precepts. Psalm 37.

This Psalm is incapable of divison. We choose from it eight significant words for our meditation. Fret Not, vs. 1. To fret is to worry, to worry is to sin (Prov. 19:3, 24:1-19). Nothing is gained by fretting; rather it is loss. How can a Christian tret? Trust, vs. 3. This is the very oppo- site to fret. Faith is the antidote for worry. The Lord is worthy. The Lord is mighty. He can not fail. " T r u st ye in the Lord forever for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting s t r e n g t h" (Isa. 26:4, Psa. 31:1, Psa. 18:30). Deilght, vs. 4. This is the extreme opposite from fret. There is one source of joy always, The Lord. ' ' Rejoice in the Lord a l wa y s" (Phil. 4:4). The Lord delights in His own (Prov. 8:31). To delight in the Lord we must know Him, for if we know Him we will love Him (Isa. 58:14, 1 Pet. :8). Commit, vs. 5. Boll thy burden upon Him (Psa. 55i22). He is the burden bearer.
