She is a dynamic, results-driven leader with over 25 years of business and leadership experience in corporate America. She has experience developing and influencing leadership teams at all levels. Lumpkins has a deep understanding and passion for ensuring organizations understand that to achieve long-term sustainable success, leaders must lead with equity and inclusion by recognizing and valuing the individual talents and skills of their employees, regardless of their ethnic and cultural backgrounds. She is known as an advocate and leader in the DEI space, having previous DEI roles at Nestlé Purina PetCare and FleishmanHillard, formerly Fleishman-Hillard. Her passion for building more inclusive work environments where everyone can feel welcomed, valued, respected and heard has led her to take on initiatives that elevate the voices of women and underrepresented populations in the workplace through the creation of new teammate resource groups, more commonly known as employee resource groups. She also has 13 years of experience as an adjunct instructor and senior lecturer at Fontbonne University where she designed and taught courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Lumpkins earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business management, both from Webster University. She holds a graduate certificate in human resource management from Washington University in St. Louis. She also is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional.

Travis R. Kearbey, JD (he/him/his) Managing Partner, St. Louis Office Quarles & Brady LLP Travis R. Kearbey, JD, is the office managing partner for the St. Louis office of Quarles & Brady LLP. He is an experienced labor and

employment attorney who is particularly accomplished in the areas of litigation, business transactions, employment law counseling and labor law. Kearbey advises clients on strategies for mitigating legal risk while pursing DEI progress, and he represents clients in an array of industries, including higher education, manufacturing, hospitality, professional services and nonprofits. He represents clients before a variety of state and federal courts and various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, National Labor Relations Board, Missouri Commission on Human Rights and Illinois Department of Human Rights. Kearbey also represents clients in federal and state jury trials on discrimination, retaliation and whistleblower claims. He also handles discrimination and wage and hour claims asserted on class and collective bases by private litigants and government agencies.

Emma Lumpkins is the senior director of Culture, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (CDEI) at Schnuck Markets, Inc. She is responsible for establishing and leading organization wide CDEI programs, strategy and vision. Lumpkins recently implemented a “talk back” session that helped senior leaders build the capacity to have meaningful dialogue on topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
