The World’s Christian Fundamentals Association, of which Paul W. Rood is President, expects to hold its next annual ’onvention in January at the Church of the Open Door and the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, Calif. Plans are un der way for a strong program of inspiring Bible messages from outstanding evangel ical leaders. With widening influence, the Association' through its members is actively bearing a fundamental testimony throughout the year. Through its able and consecrated group of field workers, the Association is being used of God to bring blessing from His Word in many regions. The following is a par tial report of meetings held by some of the more than twenty field workers accredited by the Field Workers’ Committee: C. G. Arras of Burley, Idaho, has held two Bible conferences recently, one at Pay ette Lakes and the other at Ketchum, Idaho. Raymond Blood, formerly of Garwin, Iowa, has entered a pastorate at Limestone, Tenn., and recently has been appointed as a field worker of the World’s Christian Fundamentals Association. Alvin O. Carlson, First Presbyterian Church, Superior, Wis., is conducting a number of regional Bible conferences in that section of the country. D. M. Dawson, formerly of San Fran cisco, Calif., has now accepted the pastorate of the Baptist Church at San Jose, Calif. He is also President of the Fundamental Group of California and is arranging a program for the pre-convention conference to be held in San Jose, Calif. He is also planning a number of Bible conferences to be held throughout northern California during the winter months. Charles H. Heaton of New Castle, Pa., has conducted a Bible conference at the Baptist Church of Plainwell, Mich. He spoke also at the Muskokoa Baptist Camp of Ontario and Quebec for a week in Au gust. H. E. Sodergren, formerly of Loomis, Nebr.^ihas been called to a church at Granada, Minn., where he hopes to hold many conferences in the near future. The East Bay Evangelistic Union sponsored, on September 13, a One Day Union Bible Conference at the College Avenue Church, 2740 College Ave., Berke ley, Calif., with the faculty and students of the Bay Cities Bible Institute in charge. A Bible-centered program of wide scope was arranged for the numerous sessions and forum groups. Ivan C. Frickstad, 1401 Blake St., Berkeley, Calif., is President of the Union.

The Iowa Christian Fundamentals Association will hold its annual confer ence at the Walnut Street Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa. The conference lead ers hope to hold the sessions in the early part of May with Isaac Page, Toronto, Ont., Can., as speaker. A. G. Annette, Grundy Center, Iowa, is President of the Iowa Association, and A. C. Huston, 2737 Des Moines St., Des Moines, Iowa, is General Secretary. Carl Sentman, formerly of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, has been called to the pas torate of the Baptist Church at Sheffield, Iowa. The Gospel Baptist Church of Oelwein, Iowa, has been without a pastor and has been looking for a man who believes and preaches the Word of God. Joseph Flacks, the noted Christian He brew Bible expositor, will be the speaker for the regular bimonthly conference of the Des Moines Christian Fundamentals Asso ciation on Monday and Tuesday, November 30 and December 1, in Des Moines, Iowa. The President of the Des Moines Associa tion is A. D. Mohr, 1428 E. 32nd St., Des Moines, Iowa. The Northwestern Bible and Mis sionary Training School, Minneapolis, Minn.,: of which W. B. Riley, one of the founders of the World’s Christian Funda mentals Association, is President, is making an enviable record. Recently the bulletin of the First Baptist Church of Minneapolis, where Dr. Riley is pastor, carried the fol-, lowing announcement: “The Northwestern Bible School and Theological Seminary constitute a romance in religion. Thirty- four years ago there were seven day-stu dents; last year 709 enrolled in the schools. At that time Dr. Riley was the only teacher; last year there were twenty-one teachers. Thirty-four years ago it ran without expense; last year its expense ac count was $60,000, graciously provided by friends. The School Board have recently entered upon a campaign to raise $100,000 to clear the school of all indebtedness. A fine beginning has been made on this amount.” W. B. Riley, returnihg from a trip which he and Mrs. Riley made to Europe, brings stimulating reports concerning fel lowship with Bible-believing groups in the British Isles. Dr. Riley went under the auspices of “The Advent Testimony and Preparation Movement” of England, a movement started in the same year that the World’s Christian Fundamentals Associa tion was born—1918—with such men as [Continued on page 453]
