Aristides Mairena ‘17 recently completed his MSc in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan and authored his second peer-reviewed publication. His work explores how people perceive visual efects in their peripheral vision for the design of user interface notifcations. The paper is published online as part of the proceedings of the 2019 Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.
