You can trust the engineers and geoscientists behind the work. A new public awareness campaign, launched in 2023, is taking this message to Albertans. •Two 30-second videos show why Albertans can have confidence and trust in the work of licensed engineering and geoscience professionals. › The videos were featured on local television networks in May, June, and October, and via YouTube advertising spots and saw more than six million impressions . blueprint graphics to show the inner workings of the vehicles and saw an estimated 10 million impressions . •Articles in the online Globe and Mail explained APEGA’s regulatory work and how regulation builds public trust in the professions. › Breaking New Ground and Building Trust •Edmonton electric buses and Calgary CTrains were wrapped in engineering

Albertans use countless geoscience and engineering innovations in their daily lives— and they don’t give it much thought. We’re OK with that! APEGA has regulated Alberta’s engineers and geoscientists for more than a century, so you don’t have to think about whether our 68,000 licensed professionals are competent, are qualified, and will keep you safe.
