These exceptional recipients illustrate how APEGA registrants and permit holders are building a safer, smarter, and more sustainable society through their visionary actions and achievements. 2023 Award Recipients
Dr. Mohammad Moshirpour, P.Eng., for preparing software engineering students to be industry leaders and advancing excellence in technological research. EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARD Dr. Quazi Hassan, P.Eng., for saving lives by using data to predict forest fires and develop strategies to safeguard people and industry. ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY AWARD Matthew Oliver, P.Eng., for his commitment to protecting public safety and guiding others along a path of truth and reconciliation. COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD Rochelle Longval, P.Geo., for championing sustainable and accessible geothermal energy solutions in rural communities and beyond. EARLY ACCOMPLISHMENT AWARD
