“With a workforce of 200+ staff, spread across the 3 main campuses and our residences, the team I am leaving has evolved considerably under my leadership and I hope I am passing it on in a strong position. With the recent introduction of the Out of Hours Security Management Team, we now have 24/7 management cover to support the wider team which is a great improvement and will allow the team to drive up the standards and professionalism of our night staff as well as providing training while putting us in a better position to respond to out of hours critical incidents. With the forthcoming Martyn’s Law and potential other buildings coming on board, there will be further change and growth required for the team and I am confident that the security management team will rise to the challenges and fully support my successor whom I wish very well.”

Over the last 3yrs this has been largely successful, and the team are now depended upon to support high risk events and challenging situations in a sensitive and appropriate way as well as deliv- er a great BAU operation. I am now looking for a new Head of Security to drive forward further change and innovation and build on the excellent work of their predecessor.”
