Mondi To Invest $307M In Packaging Production In Four Countries Multinational paper and packaging firm Mondi has an- nounced a €280m ($307.5m) investment to boost its cor- rugated packaging production across four countries. The company will invest around €185m of the total capital across its central and eastern European corrugated plant network. The remaining €95m has been allocated for its containerboard mill in Świecie, Poland. Mondi will rebuild paper machines PM2 and PM5 and install an anaerobic treatment plant, which will feature an integrated cooling system, at the Świecie facility. The com- pany will also upgrade the facility’s pulp mill, the recycled fibre line and the energy recovery system. In Poland, Mondi will expand the capacity of its Warsaw plant by adding machinery and automation.
