In 2009, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5690 partnered with the County to develop the Veterans Memorial Walkway. The walkway features a brick plaza with the US Flag, Florida Flag, and POW/MIA flag with a granite monument honoring all veterans. The walkway allows quiet retrospect to where a monument stands for each branch of the military as well as POW/MIAs.
Centennial Park is 103+ acres within the Murdock Village CRA. The park features four lighted baseball fields, a softball field, and four soccer fields and a challenging 18 hole disc golf course. Contractual agreements, insurance requirements, and rental fees are required for all activities, programs, and events.
