RENTAL INFORMATION RENTAL INFORMATION: Amenities and meeting rooms are offered to the public on a first come, first served basis. We are always available to serve you, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by calling 941.681.3742, to make your reservations. Or call 941.625.PLAY if you cannot reach staff at any of our facilities. A Facility Park Use questionnaire must be completed and rental fees for reserved exclusive use are required based on the following categories: Category 1: Any individual renting facilities for a private function or a recreational class or a not-for-profit organization renting facilities for an organizational function, to raise funds for charity, or for the maintenance of an organization. Category 2: Commercial, business, or individual renting facilities for the purpose of publicity, advertising, sales, or any other for- profit purposes. Floor plans for each recreation center can be found on our website under Facility & Pavilion Rental Information. Damage Deposit There is a $100 deposit per one-time event rental (over 30 people and/ or use of alcohol). The deposit will be required and must accompany the returned contract. This deposit is refundable after facility inspection. Insurance Reserving any facility, shelter, or open space within Charlotte County Community Services is a contractual agreement and may require insurance. The specific type and amount of insurance required is dependent upon the nature of the activity, program, or event that will be occurring. Alcohol The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in any County parks and recreation facility located within a Community Redevelopment Area AND between sunset and sunrise in all other parks and recreation facilities, except where alcoholic consumption is expressly authorized by the terms of a County lease, outdoor festival license, or other similar County event or temporary use permit. If you have a permit and find another park patron(s) occupying the facility you have rented who refuses to vacate the facility, you may contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Non-Emergency phone number 941.639.2101 to resolve the situation.
Recreation Centers and Libraries Reservations Recreation centers and libraries offer an assortment of facilities and rooms to accommodate a variety of meetings and events. Amenities at some of the centers include kitchens, public address systems, and stages. All centers have tables and chairs available for a variety of seating configurations. Staff will recommend physical arrangements to meet your event size. Call the facility for specifics on rooms and available amenities. Room rentals are based on the size of the room.

Picnic Pavilions County parks are a favorite place for special events, family get- togethers, and office outings. Reservations for picnic shelters ensure availability on a certain date. Picnic pavilion rentals entitle you to a specific picnic area in a park. Rentals are available at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park, Englewood Beach, Bayshore Live Oak Park, and many others. Pavilions include multiple tables, barbecues, or a large gazebo. Payment is required before the reservation is issued. Park staff cleans and removes trash prior to a facility reservation, but does not guarantee the cleanliness/condition of any reserved pavilion or open space.
