Southern bronze winners included the Australian Wooden Boat Festival (Major Festivals & Events), Cascades Female Factory Historic Site (Cultural Tourism), and Aquila Eco Retreat (Ecotourism). East Coast-based Younique Stays (Tourism Retail, Hire & Services) also took home Bronze alongside Northern Tasmanian operators Peppers Silo Hotel (4-4.5 Star Deluxe Accommodation), Blue Derby Pods Ride (Adventure Tourism) and The Truffle Farm (Excellence in Food Tourism). A further seven businesses were awarded highly commended accolades: Port Arthur Historic Site (Major Tourist Attractions), Peppers Silo Hotel (Business Event Venues) and its restaurant Grain of the Silos (Tourism Restaurants & Catering Services), BIG4 Launceston Holiday Park (Caravan & Holiday Parks), Red Rock Hut, King Island (Self-Contained Accommodation), The Tasman, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart (5-Star Luxury Accommodation), and The Cove Tasmania (Excellence in Accessible Tourism). Ms Hills said Tasmania’s tourism operators continue to prove themselves on the national stage. “These awards are a chance for our operators to showcase the quality, innovation and

professionalism that defines Tasmania’s visitor economy. Being recognised as a finalist among the best in the country is an achievement in itself,” Hills said.
