the shelf rack covering the door. He immediately assumed that this was the janitor’s closet at his school. He then turned his head towards the girl and the boy in the room. The girl’s face was covered by a mask that she had put on before Peace became conscious, but the boy wore nothing, which was good for Peace. Peace looked at the boy and recognized him almost immediately. His name was Raymond, or as most people like to call him, Ray. Peace moved his hands and found that they were bound and he couldn’t move them, as if they were trees. Peace started to grin and looked at the girl and Ray. “So Ray… how’s life been recently?” Ray choked in horror and sent himself flying backwards before gulping and turning towards the girl. She made him crawl closer and closer to the door. The girl sighed and kicked against one of the shelves, before turning her head towards Peace. “You’re lucky this time, but next time we will get solid evidence about what you did...” With that the girl walked out of the room and Peace was left alone, bound. His mind whizzed around as he tried to remember what he just did, and soon enough he got a phone call. It was from a school friend whom he called Zero. He had never met Zero in person, he had just talked to him on the phone. But when he did come to class he was hidden in the shadows and no one went over there. Peace had other friends too, in his club known as the ‘Perfect Crime Friends’. He cut himself free somehow and answered his phone, before gulping silently. He knew that whenever Zero called he needed help and the PCF had to help him. “Hello?” “Hello there Peace, took your time, am I right?” Peace gritted his teeth. Zero had always spoken to him like he knew what had just happened and acted so arrogant that he knew he was the best. “Well, I have just been detained by Ray and another girl.” “This early? You must have potential…” “What do you want?” Zero started to laugh, before typing away at his computer. “I want to meet you and the Perfect Crime Friends.. so I can… train you...” Peace gulped, turned and walked out of the janitor’s closet before nodding at the other two members of the PCF. Jack Hunter, who was Peace’s best friend and the one who helped them plan out their Perfect Crimes, and Jennifer Shaughnessy. Jennifer Shaughnessy found out information about what time things happen, for example, when all the school kids from Year 3 to Year 6 go to lunch. She was also known as the Scout and Ghost of the operation. Peace started to talk to Zero. “Where do you want us to meet you?” There was a long pause and static filled the air, before the faint sound of Zero’s voice came. “Um… maybe in the IT Suite.” Peace looked up at the IT Suite and sighed, before looking towards Jack and Jennifer. Peace nodded up towards the IT Suite before beginning to move towards the stairs. “And why do you want to train us?” The sound of a phone hanging up filled the phone up like a bee buzzing away. Static started to fill his ears. Peace put his phone back into his pocket, and put some glasses on. He swayed his hair to one side before nodding his head towards Jack. “Let’s go.” They entered as a familiar voice spread through the air and the sound of a laugh emerged. “Welcome PCF! Now you will find out who you are working for!” Joe Spicer 8C Joe Spicer’s writing story I am Joe Spicer of 8C and I just want you to know that when making this book I thought of something that I love and that I think all of you would like too. I left this story on a bit of a cliff hanger as there is going to be another one in the next Dulwich Despatch. Also to all of those in 8C I am making a new book after this short story and if any of you want to help, just ask me and I will tell you what you have to do. I hope you all like this book and I would love to hear all of your feedback. This book has meant everything to me. Until then, bye for now! But this is 1000 Words right right now!
