Shark Attack! The Top Ten

10) Hammerhead There are 34 recorded attacks, however, only one fatality. Hammerheads are endangered and can reach up to 600 kg in weight.

8) Sand Tiger With 64 attacks and 2 fatalities this scary looking shark is heavily feared, although not always proving guilty.

7) Blue The blue shark has killed 4 people and has attacked 32. This shark’s fins are commonly used in shark-fin soup.

9) Blacktip With 41 attacks and 1 fatality, this shark is widely found in tropical waters.

6) Bronze whaler With 2 fatalities, and numerous attacks this shark may not look frightening, but do be scared!

3) Tiger With 29 fatalities and a scary appearance this shark is very scary indeed!

5) Short-fin Mako There have been 35 attacks and 3 fatalities making this shark both feared and ugly .

4) Oceanic White-tip There are innumerable amounts of attacks and ditto with the fatalities, making this shark a true man-eater .

RUNNER-UP BULL SHARK This shark is the one many people consider ‘the most dangerous’ and with 26 fatalities, it’s nearly true

NUMBER 1 WINNER; THE GREAT WHITE

This shark is definitely the most deadly with 400+ attacks and 74 deaths. When you ask somebody which shark would they least like to meet, it will usually be this big fella.
