Line management for 1 member of staff - the Property and Estates Manager Director of Estates Operations, Heads of Department within Estates Operations, Office of Financial Strategy, Campus Services, Estates Finance, Legal Services, Communications, Information and Communications Technologies, College Archives and Corporate Records Contractors, Designers, Architects / Engineers / Quantity Surveyors, Enforcing Authority Inspecting Officers, Building Control, Software Suppliers, Legal Advisors

Purpose of the Post The post holder plays a leading role in the strategic and operational development and management of Estates and property asset management cross-College in core and also operational property within the College non-core (i.e. investment) estate for Imperial College London, taking responsibility for the commercial, leasing, planning and legal matters relating to property and land. The role will work closely with the Directors of: Estates Operations, Office of Financial Strategy, Campus Services, as well as senior managers across the College, including Legal Services and Communications, to ensure that appropriate agreements, processes and policies are in place and strategic opportunities developed to protect and advance Imperial College London’s property and land interests. Of critical importance will be the post holder’s role in creating an innovative service for the benefit of College stakeholders and which is recognised as a leading area amongst benchmark peer Higher Education Institutions. The team has a responsibility for an annual operating budget of circa £3.75m
