Education A professional specialist, (member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) (RICS) with at least 10 years post qualification experience. E Experience

An experienced manager who has managed external professional advisers and interactive projects and workflows involving inter departmental personnel and external stakeholders. Possessing a high level of expertise in strategic and operational property, estates and asset management. Experience of influencing and setting planning policy and developing asset management opportunities to increase income and capital receipts. Experience of working across an organisation to consolidate existing property responsibilities to produce and further develop an organisational collaborative approach to its property and landholdings, both strategically and operationally.

Experience in developing a synergistic policy and compliance across an organisation and in the creation, implementation and adoption of technological solutions. E Knowledge A specialised knowledge and experience of cross-sector property, the processes and procedures involved in its professional practice. E The application of creative solutions for a modern, fit for purpose property service within a multi-layered, progressive and world-renowned Higher Education Institution. E Possess an up to date knowledge of statutory regulations and best practice in relation to the management of estates and property. E Knowledge of the planning application procedure with experience of liaising with the local authorities on policy. E Possess an understanding of financial information in a property context. E Knowledge and understanding of service charge management. E Skills and Abilities

Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Communication skills are paramount in this role as is the need to be able to communicate with many different stakeholders. Forward thinking, innovative and able to anticipate and find solutions to problems. Numerate and able to control a budget in line with College Financial Regulations. Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, together with experience of presenting to stakeholders at meetings. Ability to complete work in area of responsibility within deadlines and to agreed standards with proven ability to plan and organise own and team activity ensuring plans complement and feed into the broader annual operational plans.
