Our capital programme is one of the most ambitious in the global HE sector to support
our goal to remain a world-leading higher education institution. Our
programme, which currently runs at annual investment of c. £100m, sees our Estates Projects team manage the delivery of an incredibly diverse range of projects.
Notable recent projects include:
• £130m Sir Michael Uren Building to create a Biomedical Research Hub • £8.5m Early Years Education Centre • Over £25m of investment in the refurbishment of teaching and research facilities • New link bridge and observatory at South Kensington • Refurbishment of Student Common Room • Data Centre Refurbishment project • Infrastructure upgrade programme
Looking to the future we have bold plans, including:
• A major programme of investment in new facilities to house our world- leading Faculty of Medicine • A new building at the White City North campus to house our world-leading School of Public Health • A complex programme of infrastructure projects to enable the development of our White City South Campus • The refurbishment of the iconic Queen’s Tower at South Kensington • Further investment in learning and teaching spaces across the estate • Creation of Quantum Photonics and Quantum Technologies laboratory spaces • Works to maintain listed properties
