Maintaining and improving the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our residents is central to our core purpose of helping people to enjoy later life. In addition to care services, our care homes provide a varied and vibrant programme of activities and initiatives for residents to get involved with, ranging from our BeActive and Zest wellness and movement programmes, our Move into March initiative and our StayConnected and Musical Conversations initiatives. Wellbeing programme Activities

• 208 live sessions • 1280 participants • 773 Exercise booklets & DVD’s sent to residents • 2287 video and podcast views • 211 ‘Move into March’ Activity Packs sent Programmes included: • Living in Fitness • Nia Mind and Body Programme • Zest care homes exercise programme • 52 virtual coffee mornings with 376 participants with topics around Diversity & Inclusion, Alexandra Technique, Climate Change, Men’s Shed, Dog’s Trust plus much more. • 84 Pen Pals connected • 30 virtual Book Club participants • Power of Music • Anchor Games • 99 virtual Together Choir participants • 439 Chatty Bench plaques have been distributed

Be Active is our wellness and movement programme to support people to take care of their overall health, wellbeing and levels of physical activity.

Be Connected supports and encourages our residents to connect with others, looks to combat loneliness and reduce social isolation. There are a number of ways we can support our residents through a series of initiatives like our weekly virtual coffee mornings, virtual book club, Together Choir, Pen Pal scheme and a call companion service working in partnership with Reengage
