ANCHOR HANOVER GROUP SUSTAINABILITY FINANCING FRAMEWORK DNV PERIODIC SECOND PARTY OPINION 2023 SUSTAINABILITY BOND PRINCIPLES Scope and objectives Anchor Hanover Group (“ Anchor ” or “Issuer”) published their Sustainability Financing Framework in 2021 which was the basis on which they issued a GBP 350m Sustainability Bond to support investment requirements in providing more, better, and green homes. It can also be used for issuing future bonds and sustainable financing. The Anchor Sustainability Bond has been issued to include eligible projects and assets under the International Capital Markets Association (“ICMA”) Social Bond Principles (“SBP”), the ICMA Green Bond Principles (“GBP”), the ICMA Sustainability Bond Guidelines (“SBG”) or, LMA Green Loan Principles (“GLP”) or the LMA Social Loan Principles (“SLP”), collectively referred to as “the Principles”. The scope of this Second Party Opinion includes the financial instruments (henceforth referred to as “ The Bond ”) notionally earmarked against the eligible projects and categories listed in Schedule 1. At the time of periodic external review, the proceeds of the Bond have been allocated to eligible assets and projects to the total of GBP 350m which Anchor has submitted for external review against the Principles. Anchor has used the proceeds of the Bond to finance and refinance nominated projects and assets falling under the following categories: • Providing Essential services to meet the needs of an Ageing Population, Providing Affordable Housing and Developing Green Buildings. DNV Business Assurance Australia Pty. Ltd. (henceforth referred to as “ DNV ”) has been commissioned by Anchor to provide an External Review of the Use of Proceeds of the Bond. Our methodology to achieve this is described under ‘Work Undertaken’ below. No assurance is provided regarding the financial performance of the Bond, the value of any investments in the Bond, or the long-term environmental benefits of the transaction. Our objective has been to provide an assessment that the Bond has met the criteria established on the basis set out below. The scope of this DNV opinion is limited to the International Capital Markets Association (“ICMA”) Social Bond Principles (“SBP”), the ICMA Green Bond Principles (“GBP”), the ICMA Sustainability Bond Guidelines (“SBG”) or, LMA Green Loan Principles (“GLP”) or the LMA Social Loan Principles (“SLP”).
