King's Business - 1923-03

323 W ithout God, w ithout the F ath er, w ithout th e Son, w ithout th e Holy Ghost, w ithout atonement, w ithout a hope of heaven, how tru ly terrib le their condition is! Theirs is indeed a system of error- w ithout one redeem ing feature. HOW ONE FOUND THE K. B. Here is an in teresting story th a t comes to us from New Zealand: “ I was in th e Salvation Army Book Stores here, when I saw a copy of the “K ing’s Business” hanging up. The title appealed to me, and I glanced through its pages. In a few moments I had read enough to convince me it was ‘good’ and ‘extra good,’ and I purchased it. The reason why th ere was a spare copy was because a subscriber had ‘dropped out,’— well, th a t was a blessing for me, for I am carrying it on. P raise the Lord. Your little paper is a gold mine of inform ation and help and in struction to th e Christian. I enjoyed every page of it, and I am lending it to my friends. I never knew th ere was such a paper before, bu t I can assure you it will be well advertised from now on. God has been pouring out His Spirit in a marvellous way here In Wellington, and the work is still going on. P raise the Lord. I pray God will bless you in your labors. Yours for the Master, VEDA PALMER. NOT LIKE SOME TODAY When Luther began his m inistry it is said th a t the Pope sent word to some official to stop th a t monk’s mouth with gold, and the official sent back th e an swer— “The fool doesn’t love gold.” IT CAN’T BE DONE “There isn ’t a son of God living any where on earth who can live content in sin. It can’t be done. If a person is living content in sin he needs to be born again.”

T HE K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S its se v e ra l p h a se s of m a n ife sta tio n — s u b je c tiv e , in d iv id u al, a g g re g a te , so cial a n d p o litic a l, in h isto ry , c u rre n t ex p erien ce, a n d p ro p h ecy ; a f te r th e sty le of m e ta p h o r w h ich sp e a k s of w isd om a s a w om an, ric h e s a s M amm on a n d th e G od o f th is w o rld , sin a s a m a s te r, etc.” The purpose of Satan is well served if people can be persuaded th a t he does ■not exist. We do not fear what does not exist. Can subtilty go fu rther? 5. Christadelphians, not content w ith denying heaven to th e believer, refuse to believe in a hell or eternal punishm ent a t all. They settle it in very few words. They say: “I t a lso fo llo w s o f n e c e ssity , th a t th e p o p u la r th e o ry of h e ll a n d ‘e te rn a l to r m e n ts’ is a fictio n .” As Christadelphians deny heaven to be the believer’s portion and deny th e very existence of hell, they are- forced to propound w hat they call “conditional imm ortality’’ to cover th e ir retrea t. Enough has been shown to prove th a t "this system is anti-Christian and Satan ic. We can understand th a t, once hav ing started w ith a wrong prem ise as to th e person of God the Son, erro r after erro r was needed wherew ith to bolster up this daring attack on Christianity. I t may be contended th a t am idst this mass of erro r th e Christadelphians at least are sound as to th e ir acknowledg m ent of God th e F ath er. Even th is contention Scripture takes from them, and they are le ft most completely under th e curse of Scripture. They deny the Divine P ersonality of th e Son. Scrip tu re tells us in th is connection th a t: “W h o so ev er d e n ie th th e Son, th e sam e h a th n o t th e F a th e r ” (1 J o h n 2:23). “F o r m an y d e c e iv e rs a r e e n te re d in to th e w o rld , w h o c o n fess n o t th a t Je su s C h rist is com e in th e flesh.
