Esthetic Dentistry: A Practical Approach for Predictable Results Kenneth Aschheim, DDS, D-ABFO

Upgrading the esthetic dentistry component of a dental practice can be personally gratifying and financially rewarding. This course will begin with an in-depth discussion of the fundamentals of esthetics and the diagnostic techniques available to formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Effective methodologies for conveying treatment options, including the most current case presentation technologies, will be discussed. Bleaching therapies and porcelain laminate veneers restorations, two of the major techniques available for modifying the full dentition patient, will be presented in depth. Learning Objectives: • Gain a thorough understanding of the basic fundamentals of esthetic dentistry • Manage patients’ esthetic expectations • Become familiar with some of the latest techniques available to achieve optimal and predictable esthetic outcomes

This is a full-day continuous course, and you must attend the morning course and afternoon course to receive a full 6 credits. NO CREDITS will be provided for attending a half day of a full-day continuous course.

Dr. Kenneth Aschheim graduated with honors from New York University College of Dentistry. His postdoctoral training includes a residency in General Dentistry at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center/Albert Einstein Medical School and a residency in Dental Anesthesiology at the Manhattan VA Hospital/ New York University/ Bellevue Hospital Center. He is the Assistant Chief Forensic Odontologist for the Office of the Medical Examiner for the City of New York and chairs the American Dental Association Subcommittee on Forensic Odontology Informatics. He has been instrumental in writing on standards in forensic odontology and has consulted worldwide on forensic technology, designing New York City’s forensic odontology dental identification software. He is an Adjunct Associate Clinical professor at the New York University College of Dentistry and is an Associate Clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, N.Y.
