How to Get Predictable Outcomes with Conscious Sedation Jasdev Bhalla, BDS, MSc, FADSA

The course is geared to dentists rendering conscious sedation. The focus will be to discuss tips and tricks to get more predictable outcomes from conscious sedation. The presentation will include medical history taking, case selections and patient preparations and discharge criteria. Part of the presentation will also focus on the conscious sedation in the pediatric population and their unique needs. We will also discuss clinical pharmacology of the commonly used sedating drugs and their appropriate use in conscious sedation for both adults and children. The presentation will finish with safe practices in conscious sedation to avoid unnecessary negative outcomes for both the patient and the operator.
