This workshop will provide you with a hands-on experience of oral surgery procedures, such as atraumatic extractions, ridge preservation grafts with membranes and suturing on pig jaws. Learning Objectives: • Learn improved techniques for removing teeth while preserving bone • Identify and manage extraction sockets to improve the site for later implant placement • Learn how to preserve the ridge after extraction with a thin or missing buccal plate

Dr. Anders Nattestad is professor, Director and Interim Co-chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and finished a PhD and an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training from the same institution. Dr. Nattestad has published 60 articles and has spoken at more than 100 meetings.
