This course examines how to implement in the dental office the legal requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations that were outlined in the first CSI course. It can act as a checklist that you have fully done your implementation or help you to now do so. It is strongly suggested that at least one member of the dental team has completed the first CSI course in order to properly understand the content and detail of this course. Learning Objectives: • To implement all requirements of the OHSA and associated regulations in the dental office • To have the information and contacts to procure all required training and equipment • To properly apply the legislation to any unique situation in your dental office

RCDSO QA Program: Category 1 (Core) (6 CE Credits) Fee + HST: $22.60 ($20 + $2.60) This is a full-day continuous course, and you must attend the morning course and afternoon course to receive a full 6 credits. NO CREDITS will be provided for attending a half day of a full-day continuous course. Dr. Blake Clemes completed his dentistry degree from Western University in 1983. He is a WSIB-certified health and safety representative and was in general private practice for 38 years. An ODA Past-President, Dr. Clemes has been an ODA Service Award and Barnabas Day Award recipient and he has received the Western Dentistry Alumni of Distinction Award. Dr. Clemes has received Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International and the American College of Dentists.
