Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Basic Life Support teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in pre-hospital and in-facility settings. This course is designed to teach candidates the skills of CPR for all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device and a bag-mask device), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). Learning Objectives: • Prepare your dental practice to recognize medical emergencies and how to react to those medical emergencies • Recognition and treatment of life-threatening medical emergencies in the dental office • CPR and AED skills and proficiency, both theory and hands-on

Norm Goldberg has been an active Rescue 7 Inc. Instructor-Trainer in Ontario and Quebec since 2006. In 2019, Mr. Goldberg was promoted to Rescue 7’s Director of Training. He was a paramedic (A.E.M.C.A) with Cote St. Luc EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and is a certified BCLS/AED Master Trainer with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (Quebec), a CSST Instructor (Quebec) and a National Lifesaving Examiner.
