HellermannTyton Debuts Two Extreme- Duty Solar Module Cable Fasteners

Solar fasteners manufacturer HellermannTyton, has announced the availability of a high-performance button mount with cable tie and locking clamp. The two products fit the predrilled holes of most solar modules. They are rated for extended life in demanding outdoor environments. The Locking Clamp fully closes and locks over a cable bundle. This fastener features an integrated fir tree mount for easy installation and includes a saddle for adding an optional Solar Tie and extending its bundle capacity. Designed with single-axis trackers in mind, it has a high extraction resistance. “Many installers run standard cable ties directly through sharp module holes, probably because it’s fast and easy; but unfortunately, those ties will fail prematurely,” says product marketing manager, Energies Nick Korth. “So, we made these mounts easy to install but tough enough to withstand sun, wind and movement within module holes for years.” Both products fit Molex Introduces CP-3.3 Wire- to-Wire Connector System Color pairing reduces connection error, ensures safety in electronics and medical applications Molex has introduced the CP3.3 Wire-to- Wire Connector System, designed to allow multiple same-circuit connectors to be used in products ranging from electronics and white goods to industrial and medical applications. The colour-paired connectors ensure correct mating connection, which also reduces the time needed to properly connect circuits during assembly. The connectors are fully polarized with an inertia lock that enhances user safety while preventing moisture seepage. The CP 3.3 Wire-to-Wire Connector System

is available in both single-row circuits (2, 3, 4 and 6) and dual-row circuits (4, 6, 8, 10 and 12) with current ratings from 2.0A to 7.5A. “Electrical safety and speed of assembly are two important considerations in connectors, and the CP 3.3 Wire-to-Wire Connector System addresses both issues,” said Akihiro Tezuka, product manager, Molex. “The system ensures complete locking, and the colour coding system makes sure the right connection is made every time.” The system also features a specially designed housing to prevent electrical shorting and an inertia lock on the receptacle to ensure a low- force locking system with both a tactile and audible click to a successful connection. “Today’s communications network demands greater bandwidth to meet rising global data traffic. High-speed optical transceivers, flexible and scalable optical transport products, compact connectors and fibre management are all vital capabilities to build high-bandwidth and high-density communication equipment to serve telecom, enterprise and hyperscale data centres,” said Doug Busch, vice president and general manager, optical solutions at Molex.
