Chocolate selling leads to police ride

Eamer’s Corners Public School student Owen was all smiles on March 21, when he was dropped off at school by none other than constable Jeff Lalonde. The student sold the most chocolate bars during his school’s recent fundraiser and was therefore given the chance to ride in a police car. Pictured are Lalonde and Owen.

Yves Poirier, of Minimax Express Transportation, recently presented $10,000 to the Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH). His donation will be utilized for chemotherapy treatments. Following an outpour of support from the community, the CCH recently announced that chemotherapy treatments will now be available in its facility.
