WARNING : Always turn off your chainsaw’s engine before handling the drive sprocket Failure to do so can result in severe injury Your drive sprocket, the third member of the cutting team, deserves regular attention and maintenance just like your guide bar and saw chain A misused drive sprocket will cause patterns of saw chain wear which can damage the guide bar and reduce the life of all three components A damaged drive sprocket cannot be repaired, it can only be inspected and replaced Here are the things to look for, and the steps to take
