The team behind the project rose to the challenge, blending classically-inspired architecture with its one-of-a-kind waterfront geography, all in character, with one twist. Homes are engineered inside to live and breathe “new,” connected and lushly finished to meet demands of today’s household. The story behind the project concerns the research and engineering and deconstruction work developers did to refurbish a decrepit industrial pier into the project’s signature “wow” point. Don’t ask, but the endeavor involved “over-the-water and pontoon-only” access, as well as below-water dredging and divers. It paid off.
