TEXAMERICAS CENTER
Dear Chamber Members, It is an honor to serve as Chair of the Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce board of directors and to work alongside so many business owners, employers, community leaders, and partners who care deeply about the future of this region. Texarkana has real momentum, but momentum only matters if we are prepared to build on it. Growth does not happen just because a community wants it. It happens
Scott Norton 2026 Board Chairman
TEXAMERICAS CENTER owns and operates the 5th-ranked industrial park and is one of the largest advanced manufacturing, logistics and rail-served industrial parks in the United States. Located just west of Texarkana, TexAmericas Center spans roughly 12,000 development-ready acres and offers approximately 3.5 million square feet of commercial and industrial product. With extensive rail infrastructure, access to major transportation corridors, adaptable facilities, shovel-ready development opportunities and layered incentives, TexAmericas Center helps companies reduce approval friction and move more efficiently from site selection to operations. As the Authority Having Jurisdiction over development processes on its property, TexAmericas Center supports greater Speed-to-Market and Speed-to-Profit for companies looking to start, scale or expand in the region.
when businesses are supported, infrastructure is in place, and partnerships are strong, so that decision-makers can see a clear path to investing here. That is one of the reasons the Chamber’s work is so important. The businesses represented across this organization are the ones creating jobs, serving customers, supporting families, and reinvesting in our community every day. From small businesses and service providers to manufacturers, industries, and major employers, these companies are helping carry the region forward. Supporting them has to remain one of our highest priorities. At the same time, we have to keep preparing Texarkana for the next generation of growth. Companies looking to expand or relocate are paying close attention to workforce, transportation, infrastructure, available land, speed to market, and the overall ease of doing business. Those are areas where our region can continue to compete, but we have to be intentional. The communities that win new investment are often the ones that did the work before the opportunity arrived. We also have to make sure we are connecting the assets already here. Texarkana has a strategic location, strong transportation access, education and workforce partners, industrial capacity, quality businesses, and people who are willing to work together. When those pieces are aligned, we create more opportunity not just for one organization or one project, but for the entire region. I am grateful for the Chamber staff, board members, volunteers, and members who continue to show up and do the work. Your involvement matters. Whether you are running a business, growing a team, supporting local initiatives, or helping connect others to resources, you are part of what makes Texarkana stronger. I look forward to working with you this year as we support the businesses that support our region, prepare for future growth, and continue building a stronger Texarkana USA.
Sincerely, Scott Norton
