Le Défi OSEntreprendre est un grand mouvement québécois qui fait rayonner les initiatives entrepreneuriales de plus de 60 000 participants, de jeunes du primaire jusqu’à l’université ainsi que de créateurs EFOUSFQSJTF*MTFEÊQMPJFFUTFOSBDJOFBVY échelons local, régional et national. Pour sa mise en œuvre, plus de 350 agents responsables se mobilisent dans les 17 régions du Québec afin de mettre en lumière les projets issus de leur milieu.
La MRC d’Argenteuil a donné, le 9 jan- vier dernier, le coup d’envoi du 22e Défi OSEntreprendre. L’objectif est de faire rayonner les initia- tives entrepreneuriales de la région en plus d’inspirer un grand nombre de personnes à croire en elles et à oser entreprendre. Les années passées, plusieurs projets d’affaires de la région se sont démarqués sur les plans régional et national. En 2019, la MRC a reçu 10 inscriptions, soit neuf pour le volet Création d’entreprise ainsi qu’une inscription pour le volet Réussite inc. Les entrepreneurs de la région d’Argen- teuil, âgés de 18 ans ou plus, ayant l’inten- tion de se lancer en affaires en 2020 ou dont l’entreprise a obtenu ses premiers revenus après le 1er avril 2019, sont admissibles au concours sous les volets Création d’entreprise ou Réussite inc. Les personnes intéressées par le Défi sont invitées à inscrire leur projet au plus tard le mardi 10 mars 2020, à 16h, en remplissant le formulaire électronique disponible au www. osentreprendre.quebec. &/#3&'r#3*&'4 TREE PLANTING Champlain Township and the South Nation Conservation Authority will partner on a tree-planting project on 2.35 acres of municipal property in L’Orignal. The township will have the property survey lines repined and then arrange for cleanup of the site before tree-planting takes place next year.– Gregg Chamberlain MILITARY HONOUR The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) received a certificate of recognition from the Canadian Forces Liaison Council for its support of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, through the Cadet Co- Operative Education Program. The two-credit program offers cadet-trai- ning courses and is available to all students through the UCDSB Sum- mer Semester Program. The 2019 program had 182 students achieve a combined total of 363 cadet training credits.– Gregg Chamberlain HEALTHY MINDS The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) are partnering on a new support pro- gram for junior A hockey clubs and their players. The NHL Foundation is also providing financial help for the Talk Today program for all 12 CCHL teams. The program, in place across Canada to aid amateur sport, promotes good mental health for ath- letes, providing support for dealing with stress and other factors, which might affect them during competition and in their personal life. —Gregg Chamberlain
