ROCKLAND | The Rockland Nationals are still struggling at the start of the season in the National Capital junior hockey league. They took another hard hit last Friday losing 9-3 to the La Pêche Predateurs. The Nats are now up to five consecutive losses. Friday, the game was tied 1-1 after 20 minutes. The Preds came back strong in the second period scoring no less than five goals to take the lead 6-3 in the end. In the third, again La Pêche seemed to be playing on its own as the Nats let three more goals get past them. The Prédateurs won 9-3. Rockland goals were scored by Frederik Champagne for two, and Alexandre Lauzon with one. For the Prédateurs, Antoine Gauvreau got a hat trick plus two assists. The Rockland Nats will be in Vankleek Hill this Saturday to face the Cougars. Sunday, they’ll play a home game against the Embrun Panthers, at 2:30 pm, at the CIHA Arena. In the other games played last weekend, Friday, the Embrun Panthers beat the Gatineau Olympiques 7-3. Saturday, the Saint-Isidore Eagles won 4-1 against the Cumberland Bandits, the Olympiques Jr loss 6-2 to the Vankleek Hill Cougars and the Papineauville Vikings beat the North Dundas Rockets 7-4. Sunday, the Bandits easily disposed of the La Pêche Prédateurs with a score of 9-0 and the Eagles loss 5-4 to the Rockets. Nats suffer fifth loss
