Our estate.
The estate (c. 99 acres) is predominantly located at our £330m Waterside Campus with a selection of satellite sites and student accommodation buildings split across the town. Waterside opened in 2018, relocating two campuses to one new purpose-built campus, with 21st teaching and learning in mind. The campus moves away from individual buildings built for a specific purpose (e.g Library), prioritising shared spaces and multi-disciplinary use, with support and social experiences distributed throughout the academic space. Our vision for the Waterside Campus was to deliver an outstanding student experience, reaching exceptional standards in all that we do, embracing cutting edge digital technologies, and ensuring our learning and teaching model was future focused. Our aim was to be an outward looking University having a social impact through supporting public and private enterprise and skills development, producing purposeful research and actively engaging with our community.
