Page heading to go here 4.0 FINANCE 4.1 To advise on the formulation of the programme budgets for capital and revenue works and operate in accordance with the Council’s financial delegated authority. 4.2 Be responsible for and manage proactively the allocated cost centre budgets and highlight any significant variances or concerns to the Strategic Asset Manager. 4.3 In conjunction with Finance monitor invoices, payments and income against managed budgets and liaise with creditors and debtors ensuring strict financial management arrangements are maintained. 4.4 Ensure the Council’s financial transactions, contracting, budgets and accounts meet with all due standards of probity and comply with relevant legislation, accounting codes of practice and particularly the Council’s financial regulations and standing orders. 5.0 MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION 5.1 Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal staff and external stakeholders in pursuit of Strategic Asset Management’s objectives and plans. 5.2 Pursue a range of networking opportunities and develop professional working relationships with other local authorities, developers and miscellaneous organisations. 5.3 Contribute effectively to Strategic Asset Management’s corporate plans and objectives and communicate the overall aims to other team members and wider business units. 5.4 Carry out analysis and research to enable the Council to be aware of changes in national policy impacting on asset management issues, assess the implications and disseminate relevant information. 5.5 Report to the Strategic Asset Manager on operational performance, progress with delivering corporate objectives and any risks encountered or emerging. 5.6 Report to the Strategic Asset Manager on completion of personal and team objectives and highlight any need for support or intervention. 5.7 Deputise for the Strategic Asset Manager as appropriate or as the need arises. 5.8 Participate as appropriate in internal policy or strategic planning meetings and disseminate relevant information. 5.9 To work as part of a team ensuring information and ideas are shared within the Strategic Asset Management team and asset recommendations are discussed with team leaders and other stakeholders. 6.0 GENERAL 6.1 Deputise as required and act as a representative for the Strategic Asset Manager. 6.2 Comply with and promote the Council’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and other associated legislation. 6.3 Adopt the principles of the Council’s Culture and Diversity policy and behave in ways that are consistent with fair and equal treatment for all.
