Types of Hearings

§ Licensing Application Hearings – This can be a hearing to request additional information from the applicant, to deny an applicant based upon information received during the investigation, or due to an objection from the NIGC to the issuance of a license. § Adjudicatory Hearings – hearings related to existing licensees to take an action based upon a breach of the lawful requirements and/or internal controls. § Patron Disputes – hearings regarding prize claims and/or tort claims, exclusions, or other grievances in which a customer may request the TGRA to review and investigate their claims of unfair practices. § Fact Finding Hearings – general hearings to investigate issues regarding behavior or circumstances and to gather information on the effect of the behavior or circumstances, including information and opinions to assist in developing or revising regulations and previous orders.
