Graham Scroggie, a prince among Bible teachers, de clared, “ I could take you to the very spot in my first home on the borders of Epping Forest where, after hours o f struggle, I let go and let God, and life has never been the same since. I assumed an attitude then which has never been reversed. I acknowledged the Lordship o f Christ. I asked Him to point out to me if there was anything wrong and He did. ‘That is wrong! That is wrong! That is wrong!’ I yielded the first two, but I stuck at the third. But He got the victory, though I some times think I was crippled, as was Jacob, and will limp to the very Golden Gate. I had to cleanse my self from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and He started me on the way to spiritual health.” Oh, let us go on with these spiritual giants to share with them the joy of deliverance, of cleansing, o f freedom and soul health, for puri ty of heart is essential to spirit ual growth. It alone will prevent the tragedy of a stunted Christian life. Moreover, if we would be ef fectively used in the service of God and His church, we will need a heart from sin set free. Cer tainly Isaiah’s vision and his call to be a prophet teaches that the Christian worker’s first need is for purity, not for power. His vi sion o f the holiness and majesty of God awakened a deep sense of his own sin and uncleanness. “Woe is me,” he cried, “ for I am undone, because I am a man o f unclean lips.” Then flew one of the seraphims, having a live coal in his hand with which he touched his lips and said, “Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine ini quity is taken away, and thy sin is purged.” After being assured of cleansing, Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall
