La Sûreté duQuébec is investigating an all-terrain vehicle accident that claimed the
life of a 23-year-old Treadwell man in Harrington Township last Friday.
October 29, at about 3:45 p.m. the MRC d’Argenteuil detachment was alerted by a
woman that anATV operator had plunged into theMaskinongé River. While emergency
servicesweredispatched, citizensmanaged topull theman fromthewater andattempted
to revive him. When ambulance attendants arrived, the victim was transported to the
Hawkesbury andDistrict General Hospital, where hewas pronounceddead.The cause of
the accident is under investigation, says Sergeant Gilles Mitchell.
