AND THE
WORLD PICTURE
Radio Message by A l Sanders F r e q u e n t l y t h e question comes to us, “Where does Communism fit into the world picture? Will it event ually triumph?” We have looked at the pronounce ment of sentence upon the Jews be cause of their sins as a chosen people; how they were scattered among the nations, were a hiss and a by-word. FOUR GREAT CONFEDERACIES will be on thp earth at the time of the end. First, of all, the Confederacy of the West or the revived Roman Empire, which will be headed by the anti-Christ. No doubt the United States and Great Britain will be a part of this Western Confederacy. Russia and the Eastern Confederacy which might well be headed up in China or somewhere in the Orient. And finally, the countries South of Palestine will form the Confederacy of the South. Now, catch this important picture. The Tribulation period, as it comes to a close, will find the anti-Christ ruling over the Western Confederacy and finally emerging supreme over the other three. Before this happens, how ever, there must be a downfall of Com munism. Let’s see this picture as given in Ezekiel 38:1: “And the Word of the Lord came unto me, saying, son of man, set thy face against Gog, the
land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.” Now, to find out the meaning of these names we must go back to Genesis 10:2. Here the three sons of Japheth, mentioned in the beginning of the nations are Magog, Tubal, and Meshech. These sons of Japheth moved North in the direction of modem Rus sia. The descendants of Magog, the second son of Japheth, migrated early to the North — Northern Confederacy — in the region now occupied by the Soviets. We must note that whenever the Bible speaks of directions: North, South, East, and West, it always uses Palestine as the center. South is there fore south of Palestine, and so on. Now for the names indicated. "Rosh" means either chief prince or Russia. This is not to stretch interpretation, for we have in the language of today i.e., Turkey which refers to a bird as well as to a nation. So we read again from Ezekiel 30:1, 2: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog in the land of Magog, Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.” "Meshech" can well correspond to “Moscow.” "Tubal" has the same root as “Tobosky,” the chief city of Siberia now renamed.
