The Power of Professional Development

CAIS LI Diploma recipients Dianne Purdie, Assistant Head – Senior School; Heath Beatson, Junior School faculty; Paul Guse, Jane Moodey and Angela Guse, Senior School faculty; and Mary Almeida, Director of the EPLC. Not pictured, Bob Loiselle, Senior School faculty.

As a CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) member, Albert College has access to a wide range of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. The CAIS Leadership Institute Diploma is a rigorous PD opportunity, covering all areas of independent school life, including educational foundations and governance, finance, admissions and school culture, among others. Seven AC staff members have completed the 10-course program, including Mary Almeida, Director of the Early Primary Learning Centre, who finished her studies this year. A number of AC staff are currently progressing through the program. With each session, faculty and staff gain a greater understanding of best practices in education that they can implement in their daily life at AC, benefiting our students and whole community.

Congratulations to Albert College employees for their years of service.
