Albert’s

International

Albert Talks asked our Grade 12 students to interview and profile some of Albert’s international alumni. It was a chance for them to make global connections and hear about the wide-ranging opportunities that await them after graduation; it was also a chance for our alumni to share their experiences and hear about what an Albert education is like now.

Carolina Rodríguez Marron ’98, Mexico

BY DAVID, GRADE 12

Carolina Rodríguez Marron attended Albert College for two years and graduated in 1998. Carolina was one of 10 members of the Rodriguez family to have attended Albert College over the years. Albert College was home for many of Carolina’s cousins as well as her two siblings, Manuel Francisco Rodríguez ’93, who attended in 1990-91, and Maria Isabel Rodríguez ’88. “Albert College is an excellent school that allowed me to have real friends that have lasted a lifetime,” she shares. “Being able to live with your friends seven days a week for 10 months helps you consider them part of your family. Albert College is a home for me and my whole family.” While a student here, Carolina enjoyed trying many new activities, such as playing lacrosse, field hockey and soccer. Carolina continued her post-secondary studies in Mexico where she attended Universidad Panamericana to study business management and international business in Mexico City. Carolina and her husband continued the family legacy by sending their three children to study at Albert College, Miranda ’22, myself and Diego, Grade 9. When asked why she chose Albert College for her children, Carolina says, “There are many values and principles that I enjoyed there myself, such as the professionalism of the teachers and that it was a small school where you never felt like a number, but like a person who was known.”
