2020s

Ava Guse ’17 visited the school in December and is in her final year of mechanical engineering at University of Toronto.

Angelica Zhang ’22 visited the school in the fall. She is in her freshman year at McGill University studying cognitive science.

David Patterson ’22 visited the school in November with his good friend Silas Leung ’22 . He is in his first year in concurrent education at Queen’s University and Silas is studying computer science at Western University. David mentioned Albert College prepared him for university by teaching him about being responsible for his learning while also balancing life skills. His most memorable AC experience was living in Graham Hall and meeting friends with whom he remains in touch.

Ryan Yao ’19 and Allen Huang ’18 visited the school with their girlfriends in January to catch up with former classmates still attending the school and played volleyball in the gym. Ryan also met with his favourite teacher, Mr. Profit, and Allen met with his favourite teacher, Mr. Stacey.

Tina Li ’20 visited the school in November. She is now in her third year of nursing and looking at post-graduate studies. Her program involves two years of college work and two years of university work. She has been enjoying stroke and rehab practical work in hospital settings. She is presently involved in the Western Fanshawe Nursing Students’ Association as vice- president of communications and is an orientation leader at Western. She is grateful for the time-management skills she learned at Albert College, and her participation in school clubs.

Rain Song ’19 visited the school to see some teachers and to take in the Senior School play. Rain has been taking the commerce/accounting program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and is excited to graduate this year. While at Rotman, Rain had five internships in four years and is looking at post-graduate studies in the United States. Rain added that his Albert experience was especially important to him; his most memorable experiences included his boarding experience in Graham Hall, being a Prefect, and participating in choir, math and science classes.

Canniff Foster ’21 visited early in the year and met up with his former teacher Ms. Kurenoff. Canniff is in his second year at Carleton University, studying psychology. He mentioned how well-prepared he was for university science because of Albert College. Canniff misses the diversity of a student’s schedule with academics and many events that took place during his 11 years at the school. The connections he made with staff also helped him succeed at Carleton.
