2010s

Cameron Sherratt ’10 tied the knot, marrying his wife, Jill, on August 20, 2022, at 100 Acre Wood in Picton. After graduating from Queen’s University, Cameron completed the sport and event marketing program at George Brown College. He worked for the Toronto Marlies hockey team and later completed the pre-firefighter education and training program at Durham College. After graduating, Cameron worked in patient transport, home renovations and in fire and emergency services at the Cote gold mine in northern Ontario. Cameron is now a firefighter working for Toronto Fire Services, and he and Jill live in Waterloo.

Alexandra Thorne ’07 and her husband, Mike, welcomed their second child in August 2022. Their first child is three-and-a-half years old, and they are excited for her to be off to school soon! The family moved to Collingwood where they can enjoy the outdoors and run their own businesses remotely. Alix runs a boutique luxury concierge service that provides errand service, personal shopping, deliveries, travel bookings and homecare in Toronto called Modern Concierge. The family still travels as much as they can, and recently took their kids to Iceland to see the northern lights. Alix otherwise says that “life is pretty much motherhood, work and sleep!”

Giselle (D’Andrade) Lavigne ’07 is a teacher with a school board in Belleville, Ontario. In 2011, she received a bachelor of inclusive recreation and leisure; in 2013, she finished a master of applied disabilities at Brock University; and in 2015, Giselle received her bachelor of education from Queen’s University. Giselle mentioned that Albert College supported and prepared her for university and noted her teachers who made a difference in her perspective of education and what she wanted to do for her career including Ms. Paul, who she fondly remembers seeing musicals and plays with in New York City.

Caroline Huang ’17 and Renee Lin ’16 visited Albert College together in December and spent some time visiting with friends and teachers on campus. Caroline is working with Movati Athletics fitness club as a business intelligence analyst, after graduating from University of Waterloo’s statistics and computing program. Renee is living in North York and has an undergraduate degree from Western. She is pursuing her master’s degree in science medicine at Imperial College in London, England.

Gero Graf von Roedern ’09 and Michael James ’09 visited the school in August. As former classmates, they had a great time reminiscing about the good old days at the school.
