We are seeking a highly motivated and pro-active Facilities/Deputy Security Manager to play a key role in the delivery of our strategy of providing a safe and secure environment for University staff, students and visitors. Working closely with the Security Services Manager you will be responsible for delivering a professional, high quality and customer focused service. As part of the Security Service Senior Management Team, you will help lead, motivate and develop security staff to deliver an effective and efficient service in line with our strategic priorities and goals. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all current legislation and best industry practices. You will have significant experience of leading and managing staff, including managers within a security or facilities environment combined with experience of working within a management team. You will also have strong communication skills, with an ability to interact with people at all levels, both internally and externally and to develop effective working relationships.
What does the role entail?
As Facilities/Deputy Security Manager your main duties will include: • Leading, managing and motivating staff to deliver a service in line with the expectations set out in the Service’s and University strategic aims. Ensuring that staff are appropriately appraised and developed and that two-way communication takes place effectively;
