Leeds - Facilities/Deputy Security Services Manager

• Attending and leading internal and/or external working groups and implementing any decisions made on behalf of the service; • Working collaboratively and pro-actively with other members of the Campus Support Services Senior Management Team to deliver a high level of service in support of strategic aims; • Undertaking on call duties and be the security contact point with people at all levels including students, staff, customers and members of the University’s senior management team; • Contributing to the project management of significant change programmes across the campus, providing specialist security advice to partners and stakeholders undergoing major refurbishments and new buildings and campus wide access and locking strategies. • Promoting and delivering leadership and management responsibilities in accordance with the University’s Leadership Excellence Behaviours Framework and upholding Commercial & Campus Support Services and University values through personal example and working practices. • Working as part of the wider Campus Support Services Management team and supporting Managers and supervisors in those teams, including Facilities Support Services and Cleaning Services. These duties provide a framework for the role and should not be regarded as a definitive list. Other reasonable duties may be required consistent with the grade of the post.

Hours of Work

Hours worked, will be flexible and as required to meet the demands of the business. i.e. 5 days over 7 (normally Monday to Friday, evenings, weekends may need to be worked). On request and with notice you may be asked to discharge your duties on shift working alongside other members of the security team. The post holder will undertake ‘on call’ duties as part of a rota and when necessary this may involve attending the University campus outside normal working hours in the event of an incident or business need requiring your response
