Our food, water, and climate are under constant assault by corporations who put profit over the survival of humanity. They have seized control of the very institutions that were built to protect us. We mobilize people to reclaim their political power, hold our elected officials accountable, and resist corporate control — ensuring we all have the essential resources we need to thrive. This is a fight we must win because this planet is the only one we get.

Message from Wenonah Food & Water Action members like you are central to solving the
progress in our fight for a livable future. From successfully fighting off profit-hungry corporations from taking over public water systems, to stopping the widely- predicted “red wave” in the midterm elections (and even picking up a Democratic seat in the Senate), to defeating multiple attempts in Congress to fast-track fossil fuel projects — we have so much to celebrate together.
These victories were hard- fought! Some came after years of persistent and sometimes tedious work, and others came from the rapid mobilization of supporters and volunteers on short notice. Because of you, we were prepared to meet the demands of each fight. You are the backbone of all our accomplishments in 2022. Thank you for fighting like you live here!
most pressing problems of our time. Without you, our work to stop climate change, ban fracking and factory farms, and safeguard water as a public resource and human right would simply not be possible. This year showed once again how much your care and generosity have resulted in meaningful

Protection Act (FGPA) The FGPA will move us toward the fossil-fuel-free future we need. It will ban greenhouse gas emissions from all new power plants, ban fracking, and ban crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exports. It’s the only bill in Congress that calls for a federal ban on fracking — a critical step to ending climate chaos.
Reform Act (FSRA) The FSRA will ban the construction of new factory farms and the expansion of existing ones, phase out existing factory farms by 2040 and enforce environmental laws on existing factory farms. It would also invest in a just transition by creating a $10 billion buy-out program for factory farm operators to pay off debt or transition to more sustainable farming systems.
Transparency, Equity and Reliability (WATER) Act The WATER Act will create a $35 billion annual fund to restore our ailing public water infrastructure — including the replacement of aged residential water main pipes — critical for the health of millions of households. It’s a long- term, comprehensive solution to fund the protection of our public water systems while creating almost one million jobs.
water. The greenhouse emissions they create drive climate change. Climate change leads to drought and less water, which also affects our food supply. It’s a vicious cycle. Meanwhile, a few giant corporations and wealthy titans profit while every- day people like you and me suffer. This climate change cycle can only be broken through systemic shifts in policy. Because of you, this year Food & Water Action was able to get three landmark pieces of legislation introduced with increased support.
Building public and political support for these legislative efforts takes time and tenacity. Your investment will ensure that together, we have the lasting power to go against climate deniers and corporations that put profit over people, and champion the policies we need to secure a livable planet for all. Thank you for your steadfast commitment!
